PC2700 (DDR333) DDR MemoryThe next step up from PC2400 memory is PC2700 (DDR333). PC2700 memory is clocked at 333Mhz (166Mhz x 2) which is why it's also referred to as DDR333. The peak bandwidth is 2666 MB/sec. There are currently only a handful of motherboards which can handle this speed, primarily those which have the newer DDR chipsets, such as the SiS 735 chipset. The MSI 645 Ultra is one such board that officially supports PC2700 RAM. PC2700 RAM is harder to locate than PC2400 or PC2100 though, and is still in the process of obtaining official specifications from JEDEC, which is why a lot of the major ram manufacturers are yet to begin mass manufacturing it. Since PC2700 memory isn't widely available in the retail sector, you'll have to research where to find it. The following are part numbers of known modules that exist:
